The laid in half-title page has six signature all appear duplicates from the other half-title page. Cover has some wear and soiling. Monique Chaumette born 4 April 1927 is a French actress. She appeared in more than forty films since 1958. She was married to Philippe Noiret from 1962 until his death in 2006. Daniel Sorano 1920-1962 was a French stage and film actor. André Schlesser nicknamed Dadé was a singer and cabaretist of gypsy origin who with Marc Chevalier formed the duo Marc and André from 1947. He was also an actor theater singer for Jean Vilar's TNP troupe in particular. He was married to the actress Maria Casarès. Thanks to André Schlesser who introduces him Marc Chevalier also joined Jean Vilar's companions in the TNP in 1954. Georges Wilson 16 October 1921 - 3 February 2010 was a French film and television actor. He was nominated for a BAFTA Film Award and also nominated for a César Award. Georges Wilson's last film was Mesrine: Public Enemy Number One. From 1963 to 1972 Georges Wilson was the director of the Théâtre national de Chaillot formerly known as the Théâtre National Populaire. The Théâtre national populaire French for People's National Theater is a theatre now at Villeurbanne France. It was founded in 1920 by Firmin Gémier in Paris. Today the TNP has a company of ten resident actors and the building is currently being completely renovated.<br/> The Théâtre National Populaire TNP was founded in 1920 in Paris at the Palais de Chaillot by Firmin Gémier. During World War II activity was suspended and the building was occupied by the United Nations. In 1951 Jean Vilar was appointed head of the new theater by Jeanne Laurent. The theater reopened at Suresnes pending the return to the Palais de Chaillot. Vilar thought of the theater as a public service and gave it a new image. Under his leadership the theater offered performances shown at prices and times to suit the general public. The TNP attracted a group of young actors including Gérard Philipe. Productions from this time include Le Cid and Der Prinz von Homburg by Heinrich von Kleist. Vilar hired the young composer Maurice Jarre as music director.
