With chapters on many influential moments in history including the reign of Elizabeth I the Treaty of Utrecht The Great Fire of London and much more. Illustrated throughout with 30 coloured plates collated complete and numerous illustrations in the text by John Leech. Ex-libris bookplates of Louis Stromeyer Little. Complete in three volumes. In decorative blue cloth bindings. Externally sound though with bumping to the extremities and some fading to the spine also. Wear to the head and tail of the other spine. Hinges strained.
