Presumed second printing conforming exactly to the first but without "1-61" on the rear wrap. A wonderful example SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Becket to one of his translators on the title page: "pour - Török Gábor Samuel Beckett. Janvier 1988." Based on his name alone Gábor was probably Beckett's Hungarian translator. "Comment C'est" was published in English in 1964 as "How it Is" though this translation loses the pun in the French original Comment C'est is pronounced identically as "commencer" the French verb meaning "to begin.". Sua leitura dispara o aguilh�o hermen�utico que nunca encontra descanso na comodidade do ""jǭ entendi"". Trata-se aqui de ""menospoesia"" no sentido positivo que Novalis atribu�a a esta express�o. O mǭximo deve ser atingido via autolimita��o. ""Mon��logo"" em motoperpǸtuo seu antiprotagonista � espǸcie de sobrevivente da hecatombe final � narra retrospectivamente sua ""vida"" antes com e depois de Pim. Esta tripla temporalidade arquet�pica assim como a pr��pria identidade do antiprotagionista sem nome s�o postas em quest�o todo o tempo. Fragmentos de vida ""de cima"" ""na luz"" ""inventados relembrados"" tambǸm penetram neste por�o ""p��s-tudo"" problematizando ainda mais as fronteiras. A desconstru��o da narra��o segue uma estratǸgia de mise en abyme: o tempo pontual do presente da narrativa torna-se mais concentrado na medida em que Ǹ sugerido que tudo n�o passa de uma ""cita��o"". O ""eu-narrador"" conta ""como ou��o"". Ele Ǹ perseguido por uma voz ""quaqua"": antivoz que ao descrever o som de seu sil�ncio animaliza-o. Seus peda��os de vida s�o citados diante do tribunal da literatura que n�o possui juiz ou Deus e n�o garante salva��o. O leitor tem como material escritural uma sequ�ncia de blocos sem pontua��o e separados por espa��os brancos. A leitura se dǭ via ritmo da prosa porosa. O texto tem algo de corp��reo performǭtico. A tenta��o de ler de modo rand�mico Ǹ grande e n�o deve ser contida pois no texto a rigor n�o hǭ tempo assim como praticamente n�o hǭ deslocamento espacial. A narrativa que sempre se deu na linha horizontal e tendencialmente homog�nea do tempo encontra-se agora esmagada sob o peso de uma catǭstrofe que lan��ou os restos humanos em um p�ntano a data 08/05 aparece aqui n�o por acaso: lembremos do ano 1945. Eles caminham na lama com sacos amarrados ao pesco��o e procuram encontros sadomasoquistas: �nica fonte de ""bons momentos"". O ""Eu"" s�� existe aqui no seu estado de nega��o e autoaniquilamento: Ǹ como se Beckett encenasse suas lembran��as intrauterinas e as projetasse em um mundo p��s-bomba at�mica. Podemos dizer que a escritura de Como Ǹ reatualiza Babel e sua confus�o e nos lan��a no p��s-simb��lico abjeto pelas portas dos fundos. N�o s�� o inferno de Dante e Kafka s�o refer�ncias aqui a B�blia tambǸm ecoa em Como Ǹ: este texto Ǹ uma espǸcie de ""Eclesiastes"" p��s religi�o assim como o seu universo fechado constitui um paradoxal e aporǸtico gnosticismo ateu. A autoironia n�o Ǹ menos cortante: caminha-se o tempo todo ""da esquerda para a direita"" como na nossa escrita alfabǸtica . TambǸm o corpo a pele torna-se superf�cie de escritura nos encontros na lama. Como em ""A col�nia penal"" de Kafka as costas transformam-se em local de inscri��o de ""letras floreadas"" que aqui s�o cavadas com as unhas. Nunca a ideia da escritura como inst�ncia inconsciente foi t�o bem encenada como nestas pǭginas. No ""tohu-bohu"" caos originǭrio e terminal da lama n�o apenas excrementos e v�mito se misturam mas o corpo Ǹ torturado perfurado e �nus e ouvidos s�o confundidos. N�o hǭ mais limites.
