Cette carte a été envoyé en réponse à une fan de l’actrice, mais, chose peu courante, avec au verso un long texte dactylographié par une sécrétaire des Studios Walt Disney. On trouve aussi La réponse " manuscrite autographe " préimprimée de l’actrice qui dit simplement : Merci d’avoir écrit, Cordialement, Hayley Mills. Rare exemplaire enrichi d'une cordiale et véritable dédicace autographe signée, de Hayley Mills, sur son portrait.

Large 11.4" x 8.5" hardcover with illustrated paper-covered boards and dark blue cloth spine with yellow lettering color and black and white illustrations unpaginated published by Random House in 1939 no additional printings indicated whale tip-in is present. CONDITION: Very slight loss of color on ends of spine paper worn through on very tips of corners and rubbed along lower edges; page edges not quite pristine; very light foxing on endpapers 4 pages with a coujple of light spots else interior like new no marks or writing. Jacket only acceptable/poor condition due to the lower half of the front panel is missing torn off as well as tears and three rather large chips missing. In sum a very nice first printing book but poor jacket. OVERSIZE - priority mail and overseas orders may require additional shipping. In an exceptionally nice Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light wear and toning scattered foxing to front panel and rear flap and evidence of label removal to rear flap. Photograph of Disney and his two daughters laid in.<br /> <br /> <p>A superior signed copy of the companion volume to the groundbreaking animated film. Scarce in this condition the book was invariably manhandled by children and even scarcer with the most recognizable signature in the world. The photograph was taken by Ellis Spreckels daughter-in-law of a sugar magnate who owned the fabulous Hotel del Coronado a favorite of Hollywood stars for decades. The Spreckels family commissioned the popular carousel that inspired Walt Disney to create a family-friendly theme park. Simon and Schuster unknown
