A scare first edition.In this charming tale Mickey Mouse and his friends Donald Duck and Goofy look at a blueprint for a boat made by the Ready-Cut Folding Boat Company but find that the boat is harder to build than they anticipated.Illustrated throughout with vignettes and full page illustrations ten in bluetone and eight in redtone. Collated complete.The tale features classic characters Goofy Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards. Bumping to back strip head and tail with small loss of paper and closed tear to tail. Light handling marks to front board. Tape repair to closed tear to rear free endpaper. 19379671<p>Nice condition vintage copy of "Mickey Mouse Presents Walt Disney's 'The Golden Touch'" by WALT DISNEY. 1937 1st edition; Whitman Publishing Company; Racine Wisconsin. The book features six full-page color plates and black & white illustrations throughout. Illustrated end papers. The book is an adaptation of the famous 1935 "Silly Symphony" animated short. It is a humorous retelling of the classic Greek myth about King Midas a wealthy but incredibly greedy ruler who wishes for the ability to turn everything he touches into gold.<br /><br />Condition:<br />Clean front cover and spine; some light soiling on the back cover. The bottom-left corner of the back corner is worn. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. The pages are age-toned though not brittle. No writing or stains found. The color plates have foxing along the outer edges. There is an inscription written in ink dated 1941 on the front pastedown. The front end paper has an undated inscription written in ink. Tiny paper tear at the top-right edge of the front cover. Page 145 has a 1" tear at the bottom edge.
