Publisher's binding known as ""Au portrait collé"" with signed Souze plate and bound by Lenègre. Spine with lighthouse. Second board of Lenègre ""e"" type. Fine upper plate. Light traces of discoloration beneath the author's name cartouche. One leaf very slightly protruding. One gathering detaching from the interior. Corners rubbed and slightly turned. Spine somewhat faded but gilts and colors quite sharp. Headcaps rubbed and turned. Second board showing some soiling but fairly good. Occasional light foxing on fresh paper nevertheless a handsome copy. Adventure novel relating an expedition to the North Pole. Hetzel unknown
