UK abridgement of 'A Two-Years' Vacation' first published in 1888 and translated into English by 1889 in which a troop of school-boys are stranded on a South Pacific island. Ex- library copy - This is Volume No.26 of the West Bath Maine Library Association with their label on the inside of the back cover. The unusual library label says: "N. B. This book must not be lent out of the subscribers family and if injured all damage must be paid to the librarian. No volume can be kept over four weeks ; two weeks additional time will be allowed by having it renewed. A fine of two cents per day will be charged for a book kept over this time. A violation of these rules will result in a loss of membership.".
