This title introduces a unique project in the history of German administration including three separate administrative districts with special tasks forr this particular industrial area the "Ruhrgebiet."<br /> <br /> The new administrative building of the Settlement Union therefore is neither a town hall not a government building or a administrative building for an industry group. All characteristics of such buildings had to be avoided in the planning of this building. The design of the building had to include appropriate administrative offices conference rooms in various sizes and an auditorium with separate entrance to support public event. Contains speeches of the architect at the inauguration and the delivery of the building.<br /> <br /> Illustrated with thirty b/w photographs of the building by Alfred Renger-Patzsch credited to Renger Foto one architectural drawing and three architectural plans. With printed epilog by the publisher and twenty-two pages with illustrated advertisements some of them in modern design typical for this time.
