The hymns are printed in German followed by the English translation. The United Brethren in Christ Press was located in Circleville for a few years before being moved to Dayton in 1853 making Circleville imprints fairly scarce. "A History of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ" by Henry Spayth was published in Circleville in the same year. Circleville is located in Pickaway County. Title translates: "The Church Harp or a Little Collection of Witty Songs for use in Public and Private Worship". Bound in full period calf leather with blind braided-rope borders to the boards and a plain untitled spine. Extremities cracking lightly rubbed with the leather missing from the upper rear corner a pencil point-sized hole at the bottom of the spine and the top 1.5" of front hinge crack. Light soil to binding. Scattered foxing and dampstaining on pages but contents tight tho a bit cocked. WorldCat locates 7 copies of the 1847 version but only one copy of the revised edition. None located in Library of Congress. None located at AE of ABPC. This copy has the songs. One incompletecopy located in Worldcat. . Conferenz hardcover
