Very good. <p>John Bright's autograph together with a full-length portrait of Bright seated cross-legged and wearing a dark suit and waistcoat with a black silk band around his neck.<p>John Bright 1811-1889 was a British Radical and Liberal statesman one of the greatest orators of his generation and a promoter of free trade policies. He is famous for battling the Corn Laws and for promoting close interdependence between Britain and France. He served as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster from September 30 1873 to February 17 1874 and as President of the Board of Trade from December 9 1868 to January 141871. Circa [1870]. unknown
