Pourraient-ils "tomber" dans la généralisation des définitions ci-dessus? J'en doute fort, vu l'importance du sujet. Je suis sûr que le lecteur trouvera dans le style de "Annuaire", calqué sur le style journalistique, prétant à ces événements appartenant à un passé lointain, un certain air d'actualité, qui ne l'empêchera pas d'accepter la form esans repousser et douter du fond. "Le Bureau des Taxes et Revenus", "Le Bureau des Statistiques" et "Le Bureau de Presse de la Cour" sont les noms de départements inventés de toutes piéces qui reviennent souvent au cours des évènements présentés sous formes de "nouvelles" dans l'Annuaire. Les données, chiffers, et estimations et le déroulment historique des faits figurant dans ces "nouvelles" ont pour objectif de donner une idée aussi précise que possible, de la contribution des communtés Juives, sous forme de: dîmes, taxes directes ou indirectes, dons, contributions de guerre, taxes spéciales etc; et les détails spécifiques à propos de la vie de nos ancétres parmi les peuples de formation et de cultures diverses cherchant aussi leur voie dans un monde en éternel mouvement. Note: Le lecteur ne doit pas douter de la valeur historique des faits, et des nouvelles suivies d'annotations "entre tirés" ou sous "Not edu Rédacteur", Ndlr. Comme émanant du "Correspondant" ou de "l'Envoyé Spécial" ou de la "Rédaction" ou de "lEditeur" qui transmettent une réflexion de l'auteur. In 1912 he immigrated to the United States and studied at Canisius College and Columbia University. From 1918 he taught modern Hebrew literature at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, after 1937 with the rank of professor. Bavli's first poems appeared in a children's periodical, Ha-Perahim, in 1908. His first book of poetry, Neginot Arez, was published in 1929. Subsequent collections of his poetry, Shirim, Shirim le-Rahelah, and Adderet ha-Shanim, also appeared in Israel. Conservative in style and structure, Bavli covers a broad range of themes in his work: personal love; love of his people; love of Erez Israel. He was one of the first Hebrew poets to deal with the American milieu. Bavli's critical essays Ruhot Nifgashot deal mainly with Hebrew and American writers. Bavli translated Dickens' Oliver Twist and Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra into Hebrew. He also translated works by the black writers James D. Corrothers, W. RARE final report of the excavations of the large fortress of Horvat 'Uza, which was originally built in the Iron Age and re-used with modifications in the Hellenistic and Roman periods, and the smaller frontier outpost of Horvat Radum, which was abandoned at the end of the Iron Age. The results of the excavation of part of a newly-discovered Iron Age settlement (no. 24) are also presented. These excavations, which spanned the years 1982-1988 and 1996, were carried out as a joint venture by the Sonia and Marco Nadler Institute of Archaeology of Tel Aviv University and the University of Waco, Texas, under the direction of Itzhaq Beit-Arieh and Bruce C.
