RARE first history of Hebrew grammar by Wilhelm Bacher (1850-1913), the prolific Jewish Hungarian scholar, rabbi, Orientalist and linguist. This treatise was published in 1895 by both The Zeitschrift der Deutschen Morgenländischen Gesellschaft (ZDMG) (Journal of the German Oriental Society) and by F. A. Spine rubbed. Sticker residues on spine and spine hinges upper edge. Front whitepage glued to inner cover and slightly torn on edge. Binding visible between pages 18-19. Pencil underlining and notes near text on pages 1-3. Ink inscription near text on pages 16 and 32. Page 16 edge slightly peeled - no damage to text. Page margins separated from text by straight pencil lines (apparently for writing notes near notes). Pages yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare original edition of a pioneering historical study on Hebrew grammar is in good reading condition.

The author - Wilhelm Bacher (1850-1913) was an influential Jewish Hungarian scholar, rabbi, Orientalist and linguist.
