Of the 2 mock-ups one was given to Bukowski and the other this copy to photographer Michael Montfort. A scarce publication with no English language equivalent; OCLC notes just 8 copies in member institutions only 2 of these in the US U.Delaware Huntington Library. One of 2 copies of a pre-publication mock-up for this title marked "2/2" on the half-title page and signed by Bukowski next to a drawing of a smoking man next to a bottle. NL Willem V van Oranje-Nassau was in 1766 de erfstadhouder van de Republiek der Zeven Verenigde Nederlanden. Hij was geboren in 1748 en was dus achttien jaar oud. Hij was al sinds 1751 stadhouder omdat zijn vader Willem IV toen overleed. Omdat Willem V nog een kind was werd het bestuur jarenlang waargenomen door regenten zijn moeder Anna van Hannover en later zijn voogd de hertog van Brunswijk. In 1766 werd Willem V meerderjarig verklaard en begon hij officieel zelfstandig te regeren. Dat jaar geldt daarom als het begin van zijn eigenlijke bestuur als stadhouder. Hij bleef stadhouder tot 1795 toen de Bataafse Republiek werd uitgeroepen en hij naar Engeland vluchtte. unknown
