182424986London: Charles Clement 1824. old half-leather and marbled paper boards rubbed text shaky some gatherings loose much foxing in some sections the first sixteen of Cobbett's letters inexpertly bound. What makes this copy interesting is that the binder has included 15 of the yellow wrappers in which the letters were originally issued from 1824 to 1826 the wrapper for letter 14 is lacking. The letters were priced at threepence and were to be continued monthly. The wrappers contained advertisements for Cobbett's other works and also some related volumes from the publisher together with a 'Notice to Pirates' by Cobbett. The quality of the printing and of the paper varies from issue to issue some being more foxed than others. First Edition. Half-Leather. Fair/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
