Two limited edition volumes from the French writer Pieree Loti featuring a historical work on Turkey and his novel 'La Hyene Enragee' bound in half calf. A limited edition being one of one-hundred and seventy-five printed on Holland paper. A two volume set. Bound in half calf with cloth to the boards. This set features two works by the French writer and naval officer Pierre Loti. The works include a history of Turkey discussing topics such as the Ottoman Empire and the city of Stamboul and a novel depicting the horrors of World War One inspired by the author's experiences. Bound in half calf. Externally rubbed to the joints and extremities slight fading to the spines and a small chip to the leather to the head of the spine to 'La Hyene'. Minimal offsetting to the endpapers with front free endpaper to 'Hyene' tender. Internally first few pages to 'Hyene' tender otherwise firm with age toned and clean pages.
