Signed on lower front turn-in "C. Leonard". A refined and elegant binding by one of Belgium's top designer binders. He captures the libertine nature of Louys’s stories rather well with this binding - the stories include <em>Une volupté nouvelle La confession de Mlle X Une ascension au Venusberg</em> and <em>La persienne.</em> An excellent signed <em>cuir repoussé </em>binding by the master Louis Dézé on the first edition of Louys’ first collection of libertine stories Philippe Renouard for Eugene Fasquelle hardcover
