Full red and dark brown morocco binding smooth spine depicting an infernal landscape inlaid with light brown grey and dark blue morocco boards illustrated with bronze flame motifs intertwining in inlay bronze and gilt fillets emphasizing the separation between the red and brown morocco gilt zigzag fillet at foot of first board pastedowns framed with red and dark brown morocco gilt and palladium fillets framing the pastedowns pastedowns and endpapers lined with red moiré silk top edge gilt deckled edges covers and spine preserved. Slipcase lined with paper and edged with red morocco. Near-contemporary binding signed A. Bianchi. Paper of the slipcase detached in places.
