This publication was part of a series dedicated to Goethe and published songs and various memorials dedicated to him on his birthday. Early copies date from 1819 and the publishing tradition seems to continue into the 1920ís. This 1830 copy is imprinted with Goetheís birthday and appears 81 years after his death.
