Guyot. Considered one of the most beautiful books illustrated by Guyot. CUSTOM BINDING by J. Franklin Mowery Master Bookbinder and former Head Conservator Folger Shakespeare Library. In a signed letter laid-in Mowery states that that the binding was designed and executed by him in 1974. He goes on to state that it was the first binding he ever sold and the first binding he did in vellum. Provenance: bookplate of John Wallace Skinner.
