In a signed letter laid-in Mowery states that that the binding was designed and executed by him in 1974. He goes on to state that it was the first binding he ever sold and the first binding he did in vellum. Provenance: bookplate of John Wallace Skinner. Preliminaries the first page of story and a few leaves afterward have light to moderate foxing. Some sunning to leather spine an edges of boards.
