1942355490716973London: Collins Crime Club 1942. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's orange cloth with black spine lettering. Loosely inserted is a typed letter signed dated 29th August 1960 from the Author addressed to a Miss R Hellman who it appears was compiling a book of recipes regarding a recipe for steak en casserole together with the typed recipe signed. Scarce with these attributes . Very slight pushing at the head and tail of the spine otherwise a near fine copy in a fine D/W with minuscule fraying at the base of the spine. A lovely collector's-condition copy in the Stead-designed D/W. A much nicer copy than normally seen. Scans invited. Collins Crime Club hardcover
1939355490717232London: Collins Crime Club 1939. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's orange boards with black spine lettering. Slight pushing at the spine tips and lightly foxed to the page block edges otherwise a nice VG copy in a rubbed nicked lightly chipped D/W with splits to the edges of both the front and rear flaps. The D/W is soiled to the back panel and has occasional rather un-necessary transparent tape reinforcement to the verso applied by a former owner. There are no major areas of loss to the D/W apart from a Missing "E" from "OVERTURE" at the head of the spine. Scarce. Scans invited. Collins Crime Club hardcover
