He was Chaplain of 47th Massachusetts Volunteers for three months, then became 1st Lt of 76th Regiment of US Colored Troops, staying in the Army until 1869 when he went as preacher to the Church of the Messiah. From 1872-1879 he was at the Church of the Disciples. He then went to Switzerland and Germany for his health. Around this time he developed a relationship with Charles Woodcock (Savage). In Germany Woodcock developed a intimate (homosexual) relationship with King Karl of Germany. Hepworth was drawn into the scandal that followed but never fully accused of homosexuality. Set on the path of author and journalist he published many articles and books, Hepworth was the New York Herald's Supervising Editor from March 1885 to the summer of 1892. In 1897 he went to Anatolia and stayed through the winter. Out of this trip came his most famous work: 'Through Armenia on Horseback' (1898). SCARCE. OCCULT 12

Manuscrito datable entre 1616 y 1618. Un volúmen en 4to., compuesto de 395 folios útiles, de apretada caligrafía y con numerosas notas marginales. Encuadernación en pergamino, de la época. Un excelente documento de la enseñanza de la Escolástica en el Siglo de Oro. Fray Juan de Biescas, nacido en Graus, fue durante muchos años Catedrático en la Universidad de Huesca. Según se desprende de Latassa, que es quien únicamente recoge datos sobre el mismo, publicó entre 1637 y 1641 en Huesca, en las prensas de Pedro Bluson, dos "Partes" de Comentarios a Santo Tomás, dejando inédita una 'Tercera Parte' cuyo original sería el manuscrito aquí ofrecido.

La prima, celebre opera del Rosmini, è una vibrata requisitoria contro il malcostume del clero del tempo contiene un appendice di due lettere "sulla elezione dè vescovi a clero e popolo". Scritta da Antonio Rosmini nel 1832, venne pubblicata a Bruxelles nel 1848 e posta all'indice l'anno dopo. La stampa a Napoli nel 1849 è piuttosto rara ed è qui legata con il trattato di "Apologetica" stampato a Napoli il 1844, che comprende "Della speranza saggio sopra alcuni errori di Ugo Foscolo"; "Breve esposizione della Filosofia di Melchiorre Gioja"; "Esame delle opinioni di Melchiorre Gioja in favor della moda"; " Saggio sulla dottrina religiosa di G.D. Romagnosi"; "Frammenti di una storia dell'empietà" a confutazione di Beniamino Constant e i San-Simoniani.
Sehr sauber erhalten. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird ausführlich dargestellt, daß und wie christliche Wertvorstellungen in die Moral und das Recht der Aufklärung eingegangen sind.
