Da Platone Aristotele eredita un profondo interesse per le leggi della fisica, che tratta estensivamente in quest’opera. Per spiegare una di queste (la quarta, l’ultima trattata nell’opera) l’autore di serve di una metafora medica: compare per la prima volta l’illustrazione di una forcipe dentistica (come osservato da M.
