Library blind stamp on title page and in margin of several leaves; ink stamp on bottom margin of frontispiece and inner margin of title. Interior contains scattered foxing spotting and age-toning. A few marginal corners are clipped. Occasional minor tear neatly sealed. Bound in modern half brown calf with marbled boards. Juan Saguens a scholar in the Order of Minims produced his "Atomismus demonstratus" in defense of Cartesian atomism. The book written in dialogue form was designed to counter the anti-Cartesian arguments of Francisco Palanco 1657-1720 a scholar also of the Order of Minims and a professor of philosophy and theology at the University of Salamanca. Palanco attacked Cartesian philosophy in the fourth tome of his work "Cursus Philosophicus" Madrid 1714.
