L'édition de référence du grand oeuvre lexicographique de Robert Estienne publié initialement en 1531, composé à partir du recensement et du dépouillement systématique des auteurs latins. Initiateur du genre, le 'Thesaurus linguae latinae' devint l'un des principaux instruments de la réhabilitation des études latines à la Renaissance et demeura un usuel fondamental pour des générations de latinistes et d'érudits à travers plusieurs siècles. Selon Brunet (II, 1071), "cette édition (…) est préférée grâce aux augmentations qu'elle contient, et parce qu'elle a été plus exactement corrigée. L'éditeur a employé des notes qu'Henri Estienne, fils de Robert avait écrites sur un exemplaire de l'édition de 1573 conservé dans la bibliothèque de Genève". Quelques rousseurs et auréoles. Quelques petits accidents à la reliure. Une déchirure (t.II, p.315) sans manque. Bon exemplaire, relié en vélin doré à l'époque, entièrement non rogné.
