Ex-library with bookplates some foxed and stained cut to one leaf not affecting text. A good copy but lacking the frontispiece. . Imprints 574. This was issued both in the US and UK. Robinson in her Wayward Women notes that the earliest issue of this that she could find was Boston 1821. Bradley and her husband left England in the Spring of 1818. Bradley was the only woman aboard the Sally when it was blown onto the Barbary coast of north-west Africa. She and the survivors were captured by a passing caravan and while the men were sent off to be sold to the British counsel in Mogadir Eliza was held in the village were she spent the next five months until she was reunited with her husband and returned to England.
