Gift inscription on ffep dated 1973; red ribbon marker intact. Overall Very Good.

This book is a collection of drawings and poetry as done by the youngest inhabitants of Terezín a Czechoslovakian fortress that was later repurposed by Nazi Germany to house thousands of Jewish prisoners-a cynical "model ghetto" they could show to foreign parties knowing that it was merely one more stop towards a final destination. Indeed out of the 15000 children to pass through Terezín only 100 survived. This book endeavors to place a personal name and history to each work and also contains a timeline and catalogs of art and poems. McGraw-Hill unknown
