Attractive and tight first edition of this American societal epic set in fictional Fort Penn Pennsylvania -- and this copy bearing three choice autograph additions. In 1965 a film version of this drama was released and this copy bears three fine matching heavy stock 5" X 2½" cards each signed boldly by a film cast member tipped one above the other to the front flyleaf. Top to bottom: SUZANNE PLESHETTE 1937-2008 plays lead Grace Caldwell Tate signs large in black fineline dating it 31 January 1982 at upper right; CARMEN MATHEWS 1911-95 plays Grace's mother Emily Caldwell signs in black fineline dating it 10 May 1993 at upper right; and BRADFORD DILLMAN 1930-2018 plays Grace's husband Sidney Tate signs in black fineline dating it 8 February 1985 at upper right.
