The letter is dated June 20 1960 in pencil and in it O'Hara expresses his dislike of the public remarks made by Mark Robson the director of the 1960 film though Robson's name is not mentioned. It seems Robson "sounded off" in the Long Island Tribune June 19 1960 and O'Hara took offense and was soon "in touch with the studio to see what can be done about shutting him Robson up." O'Hara also invites the addressees to a private screening of the film. <br/><br/>Very Good plus or better in a Very Good plus or better dust jacket. Spine ends lightly bumped a few leaves with tiny corner creases and lightly rubbing overall. A small chip at the jacket rear flap fold and light rubbing overall else Near Fine. Letter Near Fine. Jacket design by Philip Grushkin. An attractive copy with an interesting letter connecting the novel to the film. Random House unknown books
