Fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Front hinge starting but firm. Internally firmly bound. Published by American Publishing Co. 1867. Overall condition is good minus.</p><p>Richardson was an American journalist and a Union spy during the Civil War. He was caught and jailed in a Confederate prison from which he escaped. He wrote this book during a very turbulent time in the United States. Full title includes "From the Great River to the Great Ocean. Life and Adventure on the Prairies Mountains and Pacific Ocean 1857-1867".</p><p>All books are sold AS IS.
