Softcover spiral bound silver wraps titled in blind and white on the front cover. The front edges of the covers are slightly chipped and the front cover is heavily creased. 52 pages each printed on one side only consisting of 3 pages printed on light gray stock with the first being on Omni letterhead and with Omni embossed in silver at top left of the next 2 pages. These first 3 pages of the prospectus introduce the concept behind the idea together with the "Marketing Advantages Which Omni Will Provide". These are followed by 49 pages mechanically reproduced from the periodicals in which they were originally published of the stories which Bova hopes to include in the book. These pages include reproductions of the illustrations which accompanied the stories. There is some light creasing to the first page else an internally bright and near fine prospectus in good covers. <p>In his introduction to the prospectus Ben Bova writes: "In the ten years I have been editing science fiction first at Analog and now at Omni dozens of stories I bought have won Hugo Nebula and other awards. I have been fortunate enought sic to 'discover' many major new writers such as Orson Scott Card Spider Robinson George R. R. Martin Robert Forward and others. Yet there have been some stories and writers which I liked as much as any prize-winner yet for some reason or another never attracted the attention they deserved from the science fiction audience."<p>The prospectus includes excerpts from Walter Tevis' "Rent Control" Alfred Bester's "MS Found in a Coconut" James Gunn's "Fault" Paul J. 1995000894Leverkusen Germany near Dusseldorf 1995. Offered is a scarce handwritten letter of famed Luftwaffe ace HUGO BROCH 1922 - Broch is one of the great German aviators of the war. This untranslated personal note on a trimmed in half 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper featuring a paste down address label for Leverkusen Germany is in excellent condition. A scarce letter from a Luftwaffe ace. BIO NOTES: Hugo Broch was born on 6 January 1922 at Leichlingen in the Bergisch-Gladbach region of Rheinprovinz. On 6 January 1943 Broche was posted to II./JG 54 on the Eastern Front. Gefreiter Broch was assigned to 6./JG 54. His first combat experiences were as Kaczmarek wingman to Horst Ademeit 166 victories RK-EL and Heinrich "Bazi" Sterr 130 victories RK. On 13 March 1943 he shot down his first confirmed enemy aircraft having previously claimed a victory on 7 March for which he did not receive confirmation. By the end of July he had raised his total to seven. He claimed his 20th victory on 28 August. On 27 October 1943 Broch was awarded the Ehrenpokal. He recorded his 44th victory on 6 November. On 26 November Unteroffizier Broch received the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold. From winter until June 1944 Broch became a fighter instructor with Ergänzungs-Jagdgruppe Ost. He returned to combat duty at the beginning of August 1944. Re-assigned to 6./JG 54 he raised his victory total to 71 by the end of 1944. From November 1944 until the end of the war he flew with 8./JG 54 based mainly in the Kurland area. On 12 March 1945 after recording 79 victories Feldwebel Broch was awarded the Ritterkreuz. Hugo Broch flew 324 combat missions and shot down 81 enemy aircraft on the Eastern Front including 18 Sturmoviks. His score included twelve double victories and three triple victories. .
