The first three of six copyright printings of edited versions of Kipling's series of DAILY TELEGRAPH columns from December each printed within a day or so of the columns' individual appearances. Fifty copies of each were printed. These constitute the first booklet printings of the pieces collected later in complete book form by Macmillan London in February of 1915. From the Nelson Doubleday collection sale with a pencil note on the first wrapper: "Published Dec. 7 1914."
