Captain Walter Clarkson Mumford MC 1886-1959 was a friend of Kipling Oliver Baldwin 1899-1958 was the son of Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin and a cousin of Kipling. Both Oliver Baldwin and Walter Mumford both served in the Irish Guards during the First World War along with John Kipling Rudyard's son who was recorded missing in action during the Battle of Loos in 1915.
