2023BIBHB0101022702023. Hardcover. New. About The Book: This book showcases the ""Letters of Marque"" along with illustrations including scenes from Rudyard Kipling. It emphasizes the value of experiencing the vast Indian Empire and its diverse people urging a break from daily routines to embark on spontaneous journeys. Such adventures may initially be bewildering but ultimately lead to a Globe-Trotter's mindset swiftly exploring kingdoms and penning books. Jaipur seen as a brief stop en route to Bombay lacks adequate sun protection with garnet knowledge being a rarity. An Englishman's quest to study seasonal visitors in Jaipur disrupts his familiar life casting him into the role of a Globe-Trotter marked by both personal sacrifice and the enchantment of discovering the Taj Mahal. About The Author: Rudyard Kipling 1865-1936 entered this world in Bombay in December 1865. His journey took him back to India from England just before his seventeenth birthday where he embarked on a career in journalism. He started at the Civil and Military Gazette in Lahore and later joined the Pioneer in Allahabad. During this time he penned a remarkable collection of poems and stories that formed the cornerstone of his literary legacy. Upon his return to London in 1889 Kipling swiftly ascended to worldwide acclaim becoming a household name. Throughout his lifetime his works enjoyed immense popularity and critical acclaim. However as he became more vocal about his political beliefs he also grew increasingly controversial. This controversial stance made it challenging for readers and critics to assess his literary contributions without the influence of political biases and opinions.
