Kipling's autobiographical work written during the last year of his life and left unfinished after his death. Posthumously published this insightful work was finished by the author's wife. Illustrated with three plates. Collated complete. With an image of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night tipped-in to the front endpaper of 'Puck of Pook's Hill' and a bookplate to 'Something of Myself'. Bound in the publisher's original red cloth. Externally very good with light bumping to the extremities and some rubbing to the joints heavier to 'Just so'. Slight fading and a little discolouration to cloth heavier to 'Puck' and 'Just so'. The odd mark to cloth and fore edge. Bookplate to front paste down 'Something of Myself' and pencil inscription to 'Just so'. Image tipped-in to front endpaper of 'Puck'. Lacking front endpaper to 'Just so'. Internally firmly bound. Rudyard Kipling was an English short-story writer poet and novelist best known for his works of fiction including 'The Jungle Book' and 'The Man Who Would be King'. He is considered a significant literary figure for his works' vivid portrayals of British India and its explorations of themes of imperialism and clash of cultures.
