From the dust jacket: <br> "There are poems that tell stories nonsense rhymes bits of verse as soothing as a lullaby and poems about the holidays. Some verses daddy and mother will remember from their own childhood and others appear in print for the first time. Francis Kirn the artist has caught the feeling of each poem. There is a touch of whimsy and a sense of humor in some of the drawings and in others there is a feeling of tenderness and realism.
