All volumes are square tight and generally clean throughout with minimal page toning. Ownership signature on the front end-paper of volume I only. Bookseller ticket Paul Elder of San Francisco on the rear paste-downs of volumes II and III only. Small chip to lower corner of the title page of the volume I but just the outer edge and not affecting text. Rear hinge starting on volume I but quite firm. Mild rubbing to extremities and a few small puckers to cloth in a few places though very minor. A very pretty sound collectable set and surprisingly uncommon.
