Publishers blue cloth binding with gilt titles and decorations to spine and front board in very good condition with a little shelf wear to top & tail of spine a little rubbing to edges and some fading of gilt to spine. Inside front board a little slack with binding still tight and solid. All pages with more than eighty traditional rhymes in excellent clean and bright condition. Pogany was awarded gold medals in Budapest and Leipzig Expo as well as the London Masonic Medal and became a Fellow of the London Royal Society of Art. Solid and VG in its 1/4 navy-blue cloth over light-blue boards with a clean bright title-label to the front panel. Light scuffing to the panels light wear along the tips and the spine ends --and a partially-torn spine label. Internally beautifully-designed endpapers and magnificent Pogany color illustrations as well as silhouettes and marginalia at virtually every page. Very light soiling and several minor chips not affecting the plates at a few of the lower-edges tender but still perfectly sturdy inner hinges half-title/frontispiece page loose. Octavo beautiful late '20s illustrations in a number of cases with a strong Deco feel. Thomas Nelsonand Sons unknown
