1987ELEKTRAASSEpic Comics 1987. Soft Cover. F - Fine. Bill Sienkiewicz. First Edition. Telling the story of how the death of her father drove an innocent naive college student into becoming a deadly trained martial arts assassin this seminal work is among the greatest stories ever be produced in the graphic storytelling medium. Elektra became so popular in fact that even after her death interest in the character was so high that a yearlong multi-part epic was created entirely for her. Elektra: Assassin was immediately recognized as being like nothing that had come before. The fragmented complex script by Miller was both dramatically compelling and darkly satirical. The Frank Miller scripted Bill Sienkiewicz illustrated ELEKTRA ASSASSIN from Marvel's adult-oriented offshoot Epic Comics was a vital yet largely unheralded entry in the comics renaissance of the 1980s. Initially published as an eight issue miniseries and then as a graphic novel its hallucinatory narrative expressionistic visuals and satiric thrust marked out ELEKTRA ASSASSIN as one of the most innovative comics of its time. 200 pages. Full Colour illustrations. 7" x 10" 180mm x 260mm. 1.2 Epic Comics paperback
