This edition has a different introduction by Hopkins not Vincent Starret and different title. The colophon of this early version identifies 150 copies this unnumbered printed by Edwin and Robert Grabhorn and bound by Florence Grabhorn. The paper over board covers is a Deco-style free-form"marblized" pattern printed in black and brown. String-tied the paper over spine has perished. Still bound. Laid-in is the first signature from the 1921 edition title page and Starrett introduction and a leaf of text in a font and size different from that used in either version. This early 1920 version was being printed by the Grabhorns for the legendary San Francisco bookman John Howell who had opened his bookstore around 1912. Edwin & Robert Grabhorn hardcover books
