An early and uncharacteristic work by Otto Baumberger 1889-1961 the noted Swiss painter and poster artist. Early on as an employee of Wolfensberger AG in Zurich he acquired a thorough knowledge of lithographic technique employed with precision in this rendering of Schiller's classic work. Later Baumberger produced some 200 posters of great quality and style.
