A very appealing copy of Barnum's classic autobiography. <br /> <br /> In typical Barnum fashion his original Struggles and Triumphs was added to and reissued over the course of a decade or so. Instrumental in moving the Braves from Milwaukee to Atlanta Cecil rose quickly through the ranks of baseball scout to management. Later in his career he was tasked by Ted Turner to find ways for more revenue from the Braves assets. This assignment led to the founding of the Atlanta Jazz Festival and bringing major league soccer to Atlanta Chiefs in 1967. Cecil was a founding member of the North American Soccer League NASL. As if this wasn't enough Dick was known for his support of the desegregation of sports in America at a time when this was less than popular.
