Published by Jean Chitry in 1950.In the publisher's original quarter cloth pictorial boards. Contains numerous illustrations throughout by various photographers and artists. Collated complete.Romi delightfully takes the reader through the history of Parisian concerts as it flourished during the nineteenth century and early twentieth century. As well as detailing significant shows Romi also delves into the various figures who shaped it including iconic post-impressionist Toulouse Lautrec. In the publisher's original quarter cloth pictorial boards. Externally very smart. Marginal bumping to the tail of the spine and extremities. Minimal marking with very slight spotting to top edge of pictorial boards. Faint signs of shelf wear. End papers are bright and clean. Internally generally firmly bound with hinge slightly worn between leaves pp.16-17. Pages are bright and clean with the occasional faint browning toward leaf extremities.
