Copy belonging to screenwriter Arbeid with his name in holograph ink on the title page. <br/><br/>The story of a boy who is befriended by a mysterious baron only to become heartbroken and jealous when it turns out the baron has designs on his mother. Eventually remade in 1988 starring Faye Dunaway. <br/><br/>Red wrappers with title window die cut in the British style. Title page present with credit for novelist Zweig and screenwriters Arbeid and Bradley. 142 leaves with the last leaf of text numbered 140. Mimeograph duplication. Very Good.
