Bound in half calf with marbled paper covered boards.George Whyte-Melville was a Scottish novelist much concerned with field sports with works such as 'Digby Grand' 'General Bounce' and 'Kate Conventry' among others. As with numerous of Whyte-Melville's other novels the titular character of this story Tilbury Nogo rides to hounds and deals with consequences of reckless behavior and the complications of romance.With one page of publisher's advertisements to the rear. Bound in half calf with marbled paper covered boards. Externally smart with rubbing to the extremities and scuffing to the boards. Joints are partly cracked however remain firm.
