Bleistiftvermerk untere linke Ecke mit Bleistiftnummer. Eigenhändiger Brief Lou Andreas-Salomés 1861-1937 aus den Wochen vor dem Kennenlernen mit Rainer Maria Rilke. Der vorliegende Brief ist wohl an den russischen Kritiker und Kunsthistoriker Akim Volynskij auch Wolynski zuvor: Chaim Leibowitsch Flekser; 1863-1926 adressiert und stammmt vermutlich vom März oder frühen April 1897. Andreas-Salomé schickte den undatierten Brief vom St. Petersburger Hôtel Dagmar Cagobad 9 heute: Sadovaya ulitsa 9 ab und schreibt: Ich bin morgen Freitag Abend von 8 Uhr an ganz frei - wollen Sie dann herkommen Vielleicht können wir noch etwas unternehmen Mit herzlichem Gruß = Louise Gustavovna von Salomé Lou Andreas-Salomé. Andreas-Salomé besuchte im Frühjahr 1897 zunächst ihre Familie in St. Petersburg verbrachte danach ein paar Tage in Berlin bei ihrem Ehemann bevor sie Ende April nach München reiste und dort am 13. Mai 1897 Rainer Maria Rilkes ersten Brief erhält. Der vorliegende Brief enthält alle Adressen Andreas-Salomés aus dem Frühjahr 1897: Direkt unter der Nachricht an Volynskij ist in blauem Buntstift ihre Berliner Adresse notiert: Berlin=Schmargendorf Frau Lou Andreas-Salomé auf der Rückseite des Faltblattes folgt dann ihre Münchner Adresse: München Pension Quitorp Schellingstraße 72 Quistorp 24/12 April-15/3 Juni an dieser Adresse besucht Rilke sie auch im Mai 1897 bevor sie gemeinsam im Juni nach Wolfratshausen weiterziehen.
