Prior owner has neatly hand-coloured the majority of the woodcuts.John Bewick was the younger brother of influential woodcut artist Thomas Bewick. John assisted his brother in his illustrations whilst working as an apprentice to him.The eighth edition.Bound without the final leaf of text which includes one woodcut. In a rebacked calf binding.
