London: Cassell 1915. First edition. Limited to 1500 copies this being numbered 104. Original cream cloth embossed and lettered gilt top edges gilt in the original dust-wrappers. Forty plates in colour ninety-six in black and white. Near fine in the dust-wrappers small brown spots presumably foxing to the very foot of the spines; wrappers slightly tanned to spines and with a few short closed tears held to the verso with archival tissue tape; three small spots to the spine of volume 2 similar to those on the cloth. Accompanied by a letter dated 11th November 1963 from The Ceramic Book Company of Newport offering this set described as fine and clean to a Mrs. Eggars of Seattle for $125. The small blindstamp of 'H.E. Eggars M.D.' is present to pages 50/51 of each volume. A superb set of this classic work rare in the dust-wrappers. hardcover
