015505Michel-Jean Sedaine & François-André Danican Philidor, Blaise le Savetier, opéra-comique. Liège, F.-J. Desoer, [1759-1760]. In-8, 151-[1]p. Une des toutes premières éditions de cet ouvrage, en particulier avec la musique gravée. Non datée, elle est néanmoins clairement d'époque comme le montre le catalogue sur la dernière page, qui est un catalogue à peine plus élaboré que celui du Peintre amoureux publié en 1757 par Desoer. Cette pièce est d'ailleurs cité dans le catalogue de notre exemplaire. Cet opéra-comique, le second après Le Diable à quatre - déjà sur un livre de Sedaine -, fut un grand succès. Cela explique les éditions nombreuses dès la publication et jusqu'à la fin du XVIIIe siècle. Malgré ce nombre, les éditions XVIIIe sont devenues rares. Demi-basane XIXe, dos lisse, filets. Exemplaire resté probablement broché jusqu'à sa reliure, un peu défraichi, mors supérieur faible par endroits et fendu en tête sur quelques cm. Rare exemplaire de l'époque de la pièce.
