He made his Broadway debut in 1954 in the Truman Capote musical "House of Flowers" and was the principal dancer for the Metropolitan Opera in 1955-1956. Holder began his film career in 1957 and his best known as the villainous Voodoo henchman Baron Samedi in the 1973 James Bond film "Live and Let Die" directed by Guy Hamilton and starring Roger Moore.<br /> <br /> 8.5 x 11 inches. The boards are in good shape with minor wear and a few bumps around the edges. The spine ends are a bit worse for wear with chips and small splits approx. 1cm to joint extremities. I'm afraid I was misled by the ads. At any rate there is more in here about women than I think I want to contemplate on vacation. Thanks just the same. Harry. 2/3."<br /> The author's controversial book which was banned by the Vatican was considered a groundbreaking work of feminist philosophy and laid the groundwork for the second wave of feminism.
